Mearns gets first PacWest award
Brigham Young-Hawaii's Emily Mearns was chosen the Pacific West Conference's player of the week for women's soccer yesterday.
Mearns, a senior forward, had a hat trick with three goals in the Seasiders' season opener against Regis on Thursday.
It is the first award of the season for the conference.
