Hawaii's Kristin Lim of Claremont-Mudd-Scripps won the NCAA Division III singles championship in tennis Sunday at Claremont, Calif.
Lim was a three-time state singles champion at Punahou School and is the Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference player of the year.
She defeated Kendra Higgins 6-1, 6-3 in Sunday's singles final and was also a semifinalist in doubles.
Dolan and Hornsby place fifth
USA Canoe/Kayak members Ryan Dolan of Kailua teamed with Tim Hornsby of Atlanta to finish fifth in the K2M 200-meter B final at the Duisburg World Cup yesterday in Costa Mesa, Calif.
"Ryan Dolan and Tim Hornsby are a new combination in K2 200m," national team coach Guy Wilding said. "They narrowly missed the A final, and in the B final they had a rocky start but came through strongly. They definitely have potential together."
Luke and Jake Michael of Hawaii finished sixth in the K2M C final.
