With a little over a month to go before the season opener, University of Hawaii women's volleyball season ticket sales are about 4 percent lower than last year's total, athletic department officials said.
UH said 3,369 season tickets have been sold through Monday, compared with 3,511 in 2010.
Meanwhile, UH said it sold 575 new football season tickets Monday, the first day they went on sale.
UH was still totaling up its football renewals, which had been tracking slightly behind last year before call-backs.
The Rainbow Wahine, who finished 29-3 last year but lost in the Western Athletic Conference tournament final and were ousted in the second round of the NCAA tournament, open the 2011 season Aug. 26.
UH said 180 Rainbow Wahine season tickets have been sold since new sales began June 24.
The Rainbow Wahine have led the nation in attendance for the past 17 years.
Wahine volleyball season tickets range in price from $75 (high school and under) to $165. Some seats in the most desirable locations carry an additional premium charge.
Season tickets in both sports are available at the Stan Sheriff Center box office (Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.) or call (808) 944-2697 during the same hours.
