ST. LOUIS » St. Louis second baseman Kolten Wong, who hit four ground-ball outs Friday night, was sent down to Triple-A Memphis after Sunday’s 7-0 win over Pittsburgh, according to a report on the St. Louis Post-Dispatch website.
Wong, a former University of Hawaii star, was hitting .225.
Wong’s former UH teammate Greg Garcia was called up to the Cardinals from Memphis. He had five homers and 14 RBIs at the Triple-A affiliate.
