Jim Donovan's salary at the University of Hawaii is seventh among pay for the eight athletic directors in the Western Athletic Conference based upon a USAToday survey.
Donovan's base is listed at $240,000, according to the USA Today study, before the five percent voluntary cut he and many UH administrators agreed to in July.
Before the $12,000 cut he would have ranked sixth.
Utah State's Scott Barnes leads the WAC at $298,375 while athletic directors at San Jose State and Nevada each topped $277,000.
Idaho's Rob Spear had the lowest salary, $184,988.
ADs average about $450,000 per year at marquee schools, USAToday reported.
