No. 1 UC Irvine proved to be too much for No. 11 Hawaii tonight, sweeping the Warriors 25-20, 25-22, 25-11, in a Mountain Pacific Sports Federation men's volleyball match in Irvine, Calif.

It was the fourth match in five days for Hawaii (5-10, 4-8) which went 1-3 on the road trip. Sophomore opposite Brook Sedore and freshman hitter Siki Zarkovic led the Warriors with 10 kills each at the Bren Events Center.

For UCI (14-3, 11-3), Kevin Tillie had 10 kills and Colin Mehring was in on seven of the Anteaters' 13 blocks.

Hawaii opens a four-match homestand March 1 hosting Cal State Northridge.

Didn't last year's Charlie Wade coached team have the worst record in the history of the Hawaii program? This year may be worst than that. Time for a new coach.
