University of Hawaii sophomore Leisha Li'ili'i was named the Big West Softball Field Player of the Week today.

The Castle graduate hit .750 (6-for-8) with two home runs and nine runs batted in during last week's Pepsi Malihini Kipa Aloha Tournament.

Li'ili'i hit a three-run homer in UH's 7-0 win over Portland State last Friday. She then drove in six runs in a doubleheader sweep of Portland State and East Carolina on Saturday.

Li'ili'i moved into the team lead with 16 RBIs and raised her batting average to .327.

UH (16-5) faces Syracuse tonight and East Carolina on Tuesday at Rainbow Wahine Softball Stadium.

I'm happy that Parnaby is doing great pitching the UH to victory after victory but unless the UH softball team can find another pitcher, Parnaby will burn out by season's end (like Ricketts and Parnaby last year in the playoffs) and all of these victories will be for naught.....geezus, they don't even have a reasonable second pitcher that can hold their own...hitting will not get the team through the playoffs as was the case last year.....oh, well, let's enjoy the victories while we can.........
