With top scorer and rebounder Kamilah Jackson hampered with foul trouble, the Hawaii women's basketball team saw its four-game winning streak come to an end with a 74-71 defeat at Long Beach State tonight.

Jackson was held to season lows of two points and one rebound in nine minutes of play before fouling out in the final minutes. She picked up her fourth foul with 18 minutes to play and was a nonfactor throughout.

UH (10-8, 4-2 Big West) led by a point at halftime but trailed by six in the final six minutes.

Freshman point guard Briana Harris, making her first appearance in six games returning from an injured ankle, hit a 3-pointer for a 67-66 Wahine lead with 2:37 left.

Harris hit a jumper to pull the Wahine within 72-71 with 11 seconds left, then fouled out taking a foul with 10 seconds to go.

LBSU made both free throws and UH's desperation 3-point look to tie by Pua Kailiawa was off the mark just before the buzzer.

Sophomore Destiny King scored 13 points and had a career-best 15 rebounds to lead UH. Senior Sydney Haydel added 16 points, Ashleigh Karaitiana had 14 and Harris and Morgan Mason each scored 10. It was the second straight game the Wahine had five players score in double figures.

The Wahine continue play at Cal State Northridge on Saturday.
