Hawaii junior Scott Squier pitched a seven-inning complete game, allowing just two hits in Hawaii's 6-1 win over No. 10 Texas on Saturday afternoon at UFCU Disch-Falk Field in Austin, Texas.

Squier (2-1) walked four and struck out two as Hawaii evened its record at 7-7 in the first game of a scheduled doubleheader. Game 2 was halted due to weather after seven innings with the score tied 2-2 and will resume on Sunday at 8 a.m. Hawaii time. The final game of the series will follow the conclusion of that game.

In Saturday's completed game, Jordan Richartz went 2-for-4 with an RBI single that came during a three-run second inning off Texas starter Dillon Peters (1-1), who took the loss.

Hawaii scored three in the second and three in the third against Peters, who allowed seven hits in five innings with one walk and three strikeouts. Peters entered the game with a 0.82 ERA.

Juliene Jones singled and scored to extend his hitting streak to five games and Alan Baldwin added two runs scored for the Rainbow Warriors.

Texas dropped to 11-4 overall with only its second loss in 12 games.

Senior Conner George started in left field for UH in place of freshman Marcus Doi and went 1-for-3 with a run.

UH junior Jarrett Arakawa allowed two runs on five hits with two walks and five strikeouts in six innings of the second game. Eric Gleese worked out of a jam to keep the game scoreless before it was postponed.
