Three former University of Hawaii football players will be going to National Football League rookie camps this coming week.

Linebacker Brenden Daley agreed to a free-agent contract with the Atlanta Falcons. He will sign a standard three-year deal in which only his $1,000 signing bonus will be guaranteed. Daley said he has been told he will compete at inside linebacker. He joined the Rainbow Warriors in 2011 after transferring from Ventura College.

Tavita Woodard, a hybrid outside linebacker/rush end has accepted an invitation to participate in the Seattle Seahawks' rookie camp. He could earn a contract if he does well this week.

Charles Clay, who played safety and nickelback for the Rainbow Warriors, received a rookie-camp invitation from the Green Bay Packers.  Clay was impressive during UH's pro day in March.

2nd straight year a Warrior Football player has not been drafted correct? Says something about the talent that we have on our team. Hopefully this motivates our coaching staff to do something different this year. Go Warriors and congratulations to Mr. Daley! Good luck to you and thank you for your dedication these past 2 seasons.

Says something about the fact that Miano is no longer the NFL liason and is not handling the UH Pro Days. We do have players more talented than some of those that went in the 5, 6,7th round. That cannot be denied. Its who is running things over there in Manoa.

You are about the only one that knows what Miano was worth. Look where he is going. Manning camp. Where ever he coaches he will have a good quarterback.
