Punahou three-peats in HHSAA boys volleyball

By Star-Advertiser staff

LAST UPDATED: 09:21 p.m. HST, May 10, 2014

Punahou used a balanced attack to work its way past Kamehameha-Hawaii, 25-21, 25-19, 23-25, 25-16 for the Buffanblu's third straight New City Nissan/HHSAA Division I Boys Volleyball State Championship on Saturday night at the Blaisdell Arena.

The Buffanblu withstood another monster game from the Warriors' senior hitter, Evan Enriques, and responded once Enriques threw his team on his back to claim Game 3.

Punahou has won five of the last six state Division I titles in the sport and eight of the last 10.
