Hawaii Pacific's quest to bring an NCAA Division II men's tennis title back to Hawaii for the first time in 11 years fell short Saturday when the second-ranked Sea Warriors fell to No. 1 West Florida 5-3 in the championship match at Altamonte Springs, Fla.

It was the third championship for the Argonauts (29-0), whose two previous titles (2004-05) also came at the Sanlando Park Courts. It was the fourth runner-up finish for the Sea Warriors (23-1), the first since 2003 when HPU fell to Brigham Young-Hawaii 5-4
