LAS VEGAS >> A Las Vegas trial has been delayed for boxer Floyd Mayweather Jr. on allegations that he poked a security guard in the face during a confrontation about parking tickets.
Mayweather wasn't in court Friday while Las Vegas Justice of the Peace Janiece Marshall set a Dec. 16 date to schedule trial.
A misdemeanor battery complaint alleges Mayweather poked the guard last November outside the boxer's home.
Mayweather has pleaded not guilty.
The 34-year-old prizefighter also is scheduled for a Dec. 21 evidence hearing on more serious felony charges stemming from an October 2010 domestic dispute with his ex-girlfriend and two of their children.
Mayweather was acquitted last week in a misdemeanor trial on allegations that he threatened two homeowner association security guards during a parking ticket argument in October 2010.
