Chong Kee, Knoll to speak at QB Club

Kevin Chong Kee of the Aloha Stadium Authority and Tom Knoll, a participant in the first Ironman Triathlon in 1978, will be the featured speakers at Monday's Honolulu Quarterback Club meeting at Maple Garden restaurant.

Chong Kee has been with the Aloha Stadium Authority for six years. In June, Gov. Neil Abercrombie asked for the resignations of all board members. Chong Kee said he expects to have seven out of nine members remain on the board. Chong Kee also will address changes at the stadium for the upcoming UH football season.

Knoll has raised more than $1 million for charity through running, and is the author of "Why Not a Million?"

Lunch is at 11:30 a.m., followed by the noon program. Cost is $15.

Former MPI wrestler second in nationals

Recent Mid-Pacific graduate David Terao placed second Saturday in the ASICS/Vaughan National Wrestling Championships in Fargo, N.D., losing to Thomas Gilman of Nebraska in the 119-pound division.

Gilman won the first two periods 4-1 and 2-1 to capture the championship. Terao is the highest Hawaii placer in the event since Travis Lee finished first 10 years ago.
