» Oregon State senior safety Suaesi Tuimaunei (Kahuku '06) had seven tackles, including one for loss, and a forced fumble in a 17-14 loss to UCLA on Saturday. Brandon Hardin (Kamehameha '07) added two tackles and Aaron Nichols (Kamehameha '06) had two catches for 21 yards in the loss.

» Brigham Young freshman Graham Rowley (Waialua '10) had two tackles and a sack and Travis Uale (Kamehameha '05) had three tackles in a 55-7 victory over UNLV on Saturday. Spencer Hafoka (Kahuku '05) caught an 11-yard pass for BYU.

» Mississippi senior quarterback Jeremiah Masoli (Saint Louis '06) threw for 72 yards and a touchdown and scored on a 6-yard touchdown run in limited action of a 43-21 win over Louisiana-Lafayette on Saturday.

» Texas Tech linebacker Sam Fehoko (Farrington '07) had two solo tackles and forced a fumble in a 24-17 win over Missouri on Saturday.

» Colorado senior linebacker B.J. Beatty (Kahuku '06) had six tackles, including two for loss, and a sack in a 52-45 loss to Kansas on Saturday. Michael Sipili (Damien '06) added five tackles for the Buffaloes.

» Idaho linebacker Robert Siavii (Leilehua '08) had eight tackles and a forced fumble and Conrad Scheidt (Kamehameha '09) had five tackles in a 63-17 loss to Nevada on Saturday. Kama Bailey (Damien '08) carried the ball twice for 17 yards and caught two passes for 19 yards for the Vandals.

» Oregon freshman Wade Keliikipi (Waianae '09) had three tackles and a quarterback hurry in a 53-16 win over Washington on Saturday. Huskies safety Taz Stevenson (Mililani '10) had four tackles, defensive end Hau'oli Jamora (Kahuku '10) had two tackles and Kalani Aldrich (Kamehameha-Hawaii '07) had two tackles and a fumble recovery.

» Navy junior receiver Aaron Santiago (Kapolei '07) caught a 29-yard touchdown pass and had 47 all-purpose yards in a 76-35 victory over East Carolina on Saturday.

» Claremont-Mudd-Scripps senior linebacker Adam Morris (Punahou '07) tied for a team high with 12 tackles and had a pass breakup in a 33-17 win over Occidental (Calif.) on Saturday. Sophomore Casey Shibuya (Punahou '09) assisted on four tackles and kicker Joshua Mun (Mid-Pacific '08) converted both extra points and made a 27-yard field goal for the Tigers.

» Pacific Lutheran senior Kyle Whitford (Punahou '07) had four catches for 75 yards and a touchdown, Sean McFadden (Punahou '10) had five tackles and Vance Louie (Hilo '07) intercepted a pass in a 50-23 victory over Pacific (Ore.) on Saturday. Boxers quarterback T.C. Campbell (Kamehameha '07) completed 17 of 25 passes for 159 yards and two touchdowns and Kelson Kawai (Kohala '10) had five receptions for 57 yards and a touchdown.

 

WOMEN'S VOLLEYBALL

» Whitworth (Wash.) junior outside hitter Ka'imi Rocha (Seabury Hall '08) was named the Northwest Conference player of the year on Monday. Her 3.98 kills per set average in conference matches led the NWC and she also ranked near the top with 3.43 digs per set. Linfield (Ore.) junior Samantha Lau (St. Francis '08) was named to the first team at libero and Whitworth's Whitney Santos (Kamehameha-Maui '09) was named to the second team as a defensive specialist. Kaimi's sister, Ka'ipo Rocha (Seabury Hall '08) and Pacific (Ore.) outside hitter Kelsy Takashima (Molokai '08) were named to the third team.

» Washington (Mo.) sophomore libero Kelly Pang ('Iolani '09) was a repeat selection to the All-University Athletic Association first team, announced yesterday. Pang led the conference, averaging 5.37 digs per set, finishing with 462 and 26 aces this season.

» Rice junior outside hitter Jordan Meredith (Kamehameha '07) posted her fourth double-double of the season with 13 kills and 15 digs in a five-set loss to UAB on Saturday.

» Syracuse junior defensive specialist Ashley Williams (Kamehameha '08) had a team-high 14 digs in a sweep of Rutgers on Sunday.

» Claremont-Mudd-Scripps freshman Alyssa Pang ('Iolani '10) had a team-high 21 digs and two aces in a three-set loss to La Verne on Nov. 2.

» Portland State freshman Kaeli Patton (Radford '10) had a career-high 11 kills in a four-set victory over Montana State on Oct. 31.

 

WOMEN'S SWIMMING

» Fairfield (Conn.) junior Michelle Yoshida (Punahou '08) won two individual events and anchored the 200-freestyle relay team that shattered the program record by eight seconds in a dual-match loss to Marist on Saturday. Yoshida won the 50 free in 25.11 seconds and the 100 free in 54.08. She was part of the relay team that finished in 1:30.91, breaking the previous mark of 138.43.

 

MEN'S SOCCER

» Pacific (Ore.) sophomore midfielder Kody Ganiko (Kamehameha-Maui '09) scored a goal in 9 minutes off the bench in a 4-0 victory over George Fox to claim the Northwest Conference regular-season championship on Saturday.

» Louisville sophomore defender Brock Granger ('Iolani '09) assisted on a second-half goal to help the Cardinals defeat West Virginia 2-0 on Saturday to advance to the second round of the Big East tournament.

 

WOMEN'S SOCCER

» Pacific (Calif.) senior Kylee Ah Choy (Kamehameha '07) was named to the All-Big West Conference first team yesterday. She started all 19 matches as a defender.

» University of Mary (N.D.) freshman Kelsey Papaco (Radford '10) scored a goal and Dayna Domingo (Pearl City '10) added an assist as the Marauders ended their regular season at home with a 3-0 victory over Northern State on Oct. 30.

» Wisconsin-Parkside senior Lauki'i Cheng (Kalaheo '07), a first-team All-Great Lakes Valley Conference selection, scored two goals and had two assists as a midfielder this season, helping the Rangers win their fourth conference title in school history on Sunday. UW-Parkside has a bye in the first round of the NCAA tournament and will host a second-round Midwest Region game.

 

WOMEN'S GOLF

» UCLA junior Stephanie Kono (Punahou '08) shot a final-round 68 to finish in second place at the Pac-10/SEC Women's Golf Challenge on Sunday. Kono followed up an opening-round 2-over 73 with a 67 and a 68 to finish one stroke behind the winner. Oregon State's Elyse Okada (Maui '08) finished in a tie for 77th place with a three-day total of 20-over 233.

» James Madison junior Nicole Sakamoto (Kalani '08) earned her first top-10 finish of the season, finishing in a tie for eighth place at the Lady Paladin Invitational on Oct. 31. Sakamoto shot 15-over 231 during the three-day tournament.

» Tulsa sophomore Kristina Merkle (Moanalua '09) shot rounds of 74, 77 and 78 to finish in a tie for 35th place at the Alamo Invitational on Nov. 2.

 

MEN'S GOLF

» Oregon State freshman David Fink ('Iolani '09) shot rounds of 70, 74 and 72 to finish in a tie for 26th place at the Pacific Invitational last Wednesday.

» San Diego junior Alex Ching (Punahou '08) shot a 2-over 73 in the second round of the Gifford Collegiate Championships yesterday and currently sits in a tie for 11th place. Oregon senior Sean Maekawa (Honokaa '07) followed up an opening-round 74 with a 6-over 77 and currently sits in a tie for 45th place heading into today's final round.
