The motor never stops revving in the Dydasco household.

Caprice Dydasco simply picked up where her older brother, Dane, left off when he flew to Colorado Springs and the U.S. Air Force Academy.

Dydasco was a three-time All-State soccer selection for the Kamehameha Warriors, even as she split her free time between the perennial powerhouse Honolulu Bulls and national teams throughout her career.

Dydasco played for the national 14-and-under team as a freshman, the 15-under as a sophomore, and was captain for the All-World Cup team in Costa Rica as a junior. She also captained the team as a senior and was twice named to the NSCAA All-American team.

Kamehameha coach Melissa Moore and former Warriors coach Michele Nagamine point out Dydasco’s ability to be a hard-working example at all times, willing to accept double and triple teams with the “spirit of a champion.”

“The most impressive thing about Caprice is that she is completely unaffected by how talented she is,” Moore and Nagamine wrote in a letter. “She is a wonderful teammate and is always willing to give support to everyone around her, both on and off the field.”

Coaching is in her blood. Dydasco coaches the Bulls’ 8-and-under boys and girls team.

She is the daughter of Jose and Misty Dydasco. She has a 3.4 GPA and will play for UCLA, one of the nation’s top soccer teams, next season. She hopes to play in the 2014 Olympics, and eventually, become an occupational therapist.
