Sam Moore notched his NCAA-leading 12th save, retiring all six batters he faced to close out UC Irvine’s 3-2 victory over Hawaii on Saturday night at Les Murakami Stadium.

Jerry McClanahan’s two-out RBI single in the seventh scored Chris Rabago with the eventual winning run, helping UC Irvine (20-10, 4-1) remain tied for first place in the Big West.

Scott Kuzminsky (3-3) took the loss for the Rainbow Warriors (14-15, 2-3), allowing one run in 4 1/3 innings of relief. Kuzminsky allowed six hits and one walk in replace of starter Scott Squier, who gave up two runs on five hits with one walk and five strikeouts in 4 2/3 innings.

Kaeo Aliviado tripled and scored on Jordan Richartz’s RBI double in the fourth. Marcus Doi added a run-scoring single for UH’s only runs of the game.

Elliot Surrey (4-2) picked up the win, giving up four hits over seven innings with one walk and five strikeouts.

Rabago scored twice for the Anteaters, who led 2-0 after two innings.

Rabago scored in the first on a fielding error by Richartz in left and Kris Paulino doubled to lead off the second before scoring on Justin Castro’s squeeze bunt.
