Hawaii surfer Carissa Moore won her second consecutive Drug Aware Margaret River Pro title defeating Tyler Wright in the final in Australia on Sunday.

Carissa Moore’s solid surfing in the waning minutes propelled her to victory at the Drug Aware Margaret River Pro in Western Australia.

The reigning world champion caught a rolling right-hander and packed it with two sweeping cutbacks and enough style to score an 8.23 on her second-to-last wave. That lifted her past Australian Tyler Wright and gave Moore her second straight win in the World Championship Tour event. She outscored Wright 15.73-14.10 in the final, earning $60,000 and 10,000 points toward the WCT championship.
