Hawaii’s Monica DeAngelis scored a career-high 21 points, including a basket with seven seconds left in overtime to lead the Rainbow Wahine to a 65-63 victory over Cincinnati (7-5) in the semifinals of the Bank of Hawaii Rainbow Wahine Invitational. UH is now 4-6 for the season.

It was the Wahine’s first win over a Big East team in a little more than nine years. Kamilah Martin managed her fourth double-double of the young season for UH with 12 points and a game-high 15 rebounds to tie her season high.

The Wahine haven’t won an overtime game since March 2011. They will play Alabama for the title today at 5 p.m. at the Stan Sheriff Center. The Crimson tied are 9-3 for the season.
