Former Boise State linebacker and Saint Louis school product Kamalei Correa was selected today by the Baltimore Ravens in the second round of the National Football League Draft. He was the 42nd pick overall.
He is the second player from Hawaii chosen in the NFL Draft. Former Punahou standout and Oregon product DeForest Buckner was the seventh choice overall in Thursday’s opening round by the San Francisco 49ers.
At the NFL Scouting Combine in February, Correa had good numbers. He interviewed with 30 teams and should be a good fit at inside linebacker for the Ravens.
Congratulations, Kamalei. Hope you have a great rookie season and a LOOONG NFL career. Be watching you on Sundays.
