Idaho QB Enderle can make all the throws

Football games are not played on paper, but Idaho quarterback Nathan Enderle produced a number that had NFL scouts buzzing with wonderment.

While it was reported that he earned a 40 on the Wonderlic test last spring, a person familiar with the situation insisted Enderle actually scored 41.

The 12-minute, 50-question test serves as an indicator of a prospect's personality and problem-solving skills. A score of 25 is considered to be very good.

According to reports, punter Pat McInally, a Harvard graduate, was the only player to score 50 on the Wonderlic. In comparison, few even complete the test in the required time. A high Wonderlic score does not necessarily correlate to a successful NFL career. Hall of Fame quarterback Dan Marino reportedly scored low on the Wonderlic.

Enderle is rated by many as one of the top five quarterbacks eligible for the 2011 NFL Draft. Most likely, that rating is based on his build (6 feet 5, 233 pounds), strong arm, and success than his Wonderlic score. "There are a lot of good quarterbacks in the league," said Rich Miano, Hawaii's associate head coach, "but this guy is an NFL quarterback. His ability to make all of the throws is scary."
