University of Hawaii Athletic Director Jim Donovan introduced Norm Chow as the new UH head football coach.

The University of Hawaii football team will have two sets of back-to-back road games in its inaugural season in the Mountain West Conference, it was announced today.

The Warriors, who open their season Sept. 1 at Southern California, will make their MWC debut Sept. 22 against Nevada at Aloha Stadium under new head coach Norm Chow.

The Warriors will then play  at Brigham Young Sept. 29 and at San Diego State Oct. 6.

"It’s awfully exciting yet it will be a very challenging schedule," Chow said in a statement. "The conference is such that we don’t have to travel too far but it is still very difficult and that’s what we expected now that we’ve moved to the next level. I told our players about it this morning and they were fired up and excited to get this thing started."

The second set of consecutive road games comes with an Oct. 27 appearance at Colorado State and a Nov. 3 meeting at Fresno State.

UH is still looking for a non-conference game to complete a 13-game schedule and has two open dates, Sept. 8 or Oct. 20, in which to slot it.
