UH men’s volleyball team sweeps Pacific

Junior opposite Brook Sedore put down 15 kills and No. 11 Hawaii snapped a four-game losing streak when sweeping Pacific 25-18, 25-19, 25-20 in 79 minutes Monday night in a Mountain Pacific Sports Federation volleyball in Stockton, Calif.

Sedore had just one hitting error in 29 swings, and junior middle Taylor Averill added nine kills and was in on four of the nine blocks for the Rainbow Warriors (12-10, 10-9). Setter Joby Ramos finished with a double-double with 39 assists and 10 digs.

The Tigers (2-18, 1-16) were led by Tommy Carmody’s 10 kills. 

The teams meet again Tuesday at Spanos Arena at 7 p.m. PDT.
