Washington pitcher Bryana Walker threw a no-hitter and the Huskies eliminated the  University of Hawaii softball team from the NCAA regionals with an 8-0 win Sunday in Seattle.

Walker struck out 12 and walked two and the game ended after the fifth inning due to the eight-run rule.

Washington (41-15), the top seed in the region and the tournament’s 11th seed overall, advances to the NCAA Super Regionals. The Rainbow Wahine ended the season at 45-13.

UH senior Kaia Parnaby, who had thrown three complete games earlier in the regional, gave up five runs on six hits in 2 2/3 innings and took the loss, closing the season at 39-6.

The Huskies hit two home runs in the third inning to take control. Kaitlin Inglesby opened the scoring with a two-run homer and Whitney Jones added a three-run shot later in the inning.

Washington scored three more runs in the top of the fifth and Walker retired UH in order to end the game.

The loss ended the college careers for five UH seniors, Parnaby, Tara Anguiano, Brynne Buchanan, Jessica Iwata and Kelly Majam.
