Inductees named in Polynesian hall of fame

20151007-2286 SPT POLYNESIAN HOF PHOTO BY DENNIS ODA The Polynesian Football Hall of Fame announced its Class of 2016. The five Inductees were selected from a list of 25 Finalists. They are Charles “Charlie” Teetai Ane, Jr. (Samoan ancestry), Rockne Crowningburg Freitas (Hawaiian ancestry), Troy Polamalu (Samoan ancestry), Vai Sikahema (Tongan ancestry) as player inductees and Albert “Al” Lolotai (Samoan ancestry) as a contributor. At the press conference where the announcement was made (at the Sheraton Waikiki) were (l-r) Dan Ahuna (steering committee member), June Jones, Jesse Sapolu and Maa Tanuvasa.
