Fundraiser festival set for Wailuku

Wailuku » The Maui Historical Society will host its 10th annual fundraiser from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Nov. 27 on the grounds of the Bailey House Museum and the historic Yokouchi Estate in Wailuku.

The fundraiser's theme is "E Ho'oulu Aloha — To Grow in Love." The event will include Hawaiian arts, culture, food and entertainment, including appearances by entertainers Richard Ho'opi'i and Lei'ohu Ryder, Halau Hula Kauluokala and Na Leo Lani o Maui community choir, directed by Gale Wisehart.

The program also features food and crafts vendors, Hawaiian arts demonstrations, a keiki activity area, a silent auction and shopping at the museum gift shop.

Tickets are $10 in advance and $15 on the day of the event, which includes admission to the Bailey House Museum on concert day. Children under 12 are admitted free with a paid adult.

Hyatt Regency Waikiki feels green

The Hyatt Regency Waikiki Beach Resort and Spa has been given the Four Green Keys award for its environmentally friendly practices. The award is part of the Green Key Eco-Rating Program, which recognizes hotels and resorts that are committed to improving the environment through their own practices and policies.

Hyatt Regency Waikiki also is a Green Business Award Winner and an Energy Star Rated hotel.


Kapalua Villas shifts receiving area

The Kapalua Villas recently relocated its reception center and administrative offices to 2000 Village Road, known to return guests as the Adventure Center Building.

The center provides access to the Villas front desk, concierge, bell services and executive offices, all of which are under the same roof as the resort's logo shop, adventure desk, service concierge and a dining venue opening in the near future.

The Kapalua Villas are part of Outrigger Hotels & Resorts' deluxe condominium collection.
