Easter ship cruise includes egg hunt

An Easter egg hunt will be among the activities aboard the Star of Hono­lulu during an Easter lunch and champagne cruise from noon to 2:30 p.m. next Sunday, departing from Pier 8 at Aloha Tower Marketplace.

A lunch buffet will feature roast beef, Easter cake and a champagne toast. Besides the egg hunt, activities will include whale watching, Hawaiian cultural activities and prize giveaways for kids.

Native art expo opens at museum

"Hali‘a ke ‘ala: Fond Remembrances," an exhibit honoring the late artist Hiko­‘ula Hanapi, opens Friday and runs through Aug. 21 at Bishop Museum.

The sixth annual MAMo Awards exhibition celebrates Maoli Arts Month (MAMo). This year's awards recognize Hanapi, an artist who taught for more than 20 years in Hawaii on various topics, including horticulture, ethnobotany, Hawaiian natural history, culture, sovereignty and the arts.

Comedy show opens Tuesday

Kapaa, Kauai » The comedy show "The Complete History of America (abridged!)" opens Tuesday night and will be presented weekly at the Aston Aloha Beach Hotel. The premiere was set for last week but was postponed. The show features three quick-change performers who cover 500 years of history in 90 minutes.

Hotel to reopen after tsunami

Kailua-Kona » Four Seasons Resort Hualalai at Historic Ka‘u­pu­lehu will reopen Saturday after being closed for more than a month. The hotel sustained damage from the March 11 tsunami generated by the earthquake in Japan.
