Chain linked to Garden Isle
Richard Fassler of Honolulu discovered Kauai in the Indian Ocean nation of Mauritius while cruising around Africa in November. The company, which offers healthy fast food, was started in 1996 by three former residents of the Garden Island. There are more than 150 franchise stores in South Africa. Kauai can also be found in Namibia and Dubai.
