The Search for Signs of Hawaiian Life

The restaurant sign said Kauai, but a closer look at the menu showed the small airport deli in Johannesburg, South Africa, served no local fare. Brian Johnson of Mililani discovered the restaurant last summer when a trip to Namibia took him through the OR Tambo International Airport in Johannesburg. He was traveling with Mililani residents Britt and Deb Nishijo, who took the photo.
