DESERT DISCOVERY: Shirley Cavanaugh of Kaneohe found this colorful sign advertising the Moana Grill, a restaurant on the coast of the Mediterranean Sea at Tahiti Beach in Casablanca, Morocco. The photo was taken Sept. 4, her first day in Morocco before she began an extensive tour that included two nights of camping in the Sahara. Cavanaugh’s friend Carole Hollrigel of Irvine, Calif., snapped the photo.
