Honolulu’s Michelle Wie bounced back from a tie for 46th last week to shoot an even-par 72 today at the LPGA Championship held at the Locust Hill Country Club in Pittsford, N.Y.

Wie carded two birdies and two bogeys to finish four shots off the pace of opening-day leaders Stacy Lewis (68), Seon Hwa Lee (68) and Cristie Kerr (68). The Punahou School graduate begins tomorrow’s second round tied for 20th.

She hit seven of 14 fairways and 13 of 18 greens in regulation. Wie needed 30 putts and averaged 262.5 yards off the tee.
