Road football tickets on sale at UH

Ticket orders for Hawaii football road games are being taken.

The Warriors are at Army on Sept. 11, Colorado on Sept. 18, Fresno State on Oct. 9, Utah State on Oct. 23, Boise State on Nov. 6 and New Mexico State on Nov. 27.

Fujikawa trails by 11 in eGolf

Honolulu’s Tadd Fujikawa shot an even-par 72 in yesterday’s third round of the eGolf Tour’s Bushnell Championships in Carthage, N.C.

He three-round total – played on two different courses – is 7-under 208. The 2009 Moanalua High School graduate is tied for 45th place, 11 shots behind leader Chesson Hadley, who is at 18-under 197.

Fujikawa had three birdies and three bogeys on the Little River Golf Club, where he shot a first-round 1-under 71. He shot a second-round 6-under 65 at the Southern Pines Golf Club.

 

HPU softball clinics set

The Hawaii Pacific softball team, which won the NCAA Division II championship last month, will hold three clinics this summer at Howard A. Okita Field on HPU’s Windward Campus.

The first session, for players aged 10 to 13, is Aug. 15 through 22. The second (Aug. 29-Sept. 5) and third (Sept. 12-19) sessions are for ages 14-18.

Clinics run daily from 1 to 5 p.m. and are limited to 40 players. The fee is $10.
