Big Island police look for missing woman

 

Big Island police are looking for an 18-year-old North Kohala woman who was last seen 6 p.m. Monday in Kona and planned to hitchhike home.

Hanna Cowden of Kapaau has not been heard from or seen since Monday, police said.

Cowden was reported missing Wednesday, police said.

She is described as 5-foot-5, 120 pounds with a fair complexion, short brown hair and hazel eyes. She was last seen wearing a blue-and-white striped top and blue jeans with a silver belt.

Anyone with information concerning her whereabouts is asked to call officer John Kahalioumi at 889-6540 or the police nonemergency line at 935-3311. Anonymous calls may be made to CrimeStoppers at 961-8300 in Hilo or 329-8181 in Kona.
