Hawaii Habitat for Humanity is warning that calls soliciting donations for the organization in Hawaii are fraudulent.

The organization says Habitat for Humanity does not solicit donations over the phone and any calls that do are not connected with the group.

The mission of Habitat for Humanity’s ministry is to eliminate poverty housing and homelessness by building affordable housing for those in need.

Habitat for Humanity International and its support organizations and affiliates, ecumenical Christian ministries, have built nearly 250,000 homes.  In Hawaii, Habitat affiliates have built more than 200 homes.
