Join Kokua Market as they lead free tours of various Windward farms in an effort to bring consumers closer to the origins of the food they eat.

On July 24, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., the market will tour Reppun Farm in Waiahole Valley, Sweet Home Waimanalo (where visitors will eat lunch, which must be purchased) and Palaka Moon Farm.

Sweet Home Waimanalo features local ingredients and products and holds sustainability-oriented workshops. Palaka Moon will share its plans for an "ainability" program that also will teach the "how-tos" of sustainable living. Workshops and tours will focus on agriculture, energy efficiency, renewable energies, and waste and water management.

Space is limited, so reserve a spot by calling 941-1922 or e-mailing marketing@kokua.coop.
