Three women arrested on gambling charges

Police executed a search warrant and arrested three women on gambling-related charges at a Kakaako business establishment early this morning.

All three women were charged with second-degree promotion of gambling and possession of a gambling device, misdemeanors.

They are Mei Zh Cao, 44, of Liliha; Yue Lan He, 34, of Liliha; and Karen Zhao, 41, of Makiki.

All were released on $4,000 bail each.

A police spokesperson said they recovered cash and gaming materials from the business at 320 Ward Avenue, across the street from Wahoo Fish Tacos.
