Israel’s senior diplomat in the Southwestern United States is visiting Hawaii to meet with government and community leaders.

Los Angeles-based Consul General Jacob Dayan intends to discuss ways Israel is working with Hawaii on projects including water desalination and extracting geothermal power.

Dayan will be on Maui this weekend before traveling to Honolulu on Monday and Kauai on Wednesday.
