The Army Reserve’s 305th Mobile Public Affairs Detachment is set to deploy from Hawaii to Iraq.

A deployment ceremony for the 20-person detachment is scheduled for 10 a.m. tomorrow at Schofield Barracks.

The Army says that during the one-year deployment, the soldiers will provide public affairs support as U.S. forces transition from Operation Iraqi Freedom to Operation New Dawn.

Defense Secretary Robert Gates announced earlier this year that the name change will go into effect Sept. 1.
