Mililani downs Kaimuki in football opener

Trent McKinney threw for 142 yards and accounted for two touchdowns to lead Mililani to a 34-6 victory over Kaimuki on Friday night in the season opener for both teams at John Kauinana Stadium.

The game was a rematch of a first-round OIA playoff game last year which Mililani won, 47-35.

Kaimuki running back Chester Sua, a Washington State commit, was held to 62 yards on 11 carries.

Hassan Richardson had four catches for 89 yards, including a 51-yard touchdown.
