More news on arts, events, entertainment now in TGIF
Editor’s Note: TGIF became a dedicated entertainment tab in June, as the Honolulu Star-Bulletin and The Honolulu Advertiser combined.
Since that time, many readers have contacted us with their comments and suggestions.
One of the top requests was for a day-by-day, comprehensive calendar of events, so that readers could plan their weeks, whether for major events, family attractions or one-of-a kind happenings.
We’re happy to report that this week, we’ve beefed up TGIF’s comprehensive calendars to provide more useful information for readers.
THIS WEEK, you’ll find our calendars grouped together. The Music, Nightclubs, Stage and "Out ‘N’ About" calendars can all be found on Pages 14 to 19.
"Out ‘N’ About" has been expanded to include more events throughout the week, including events that are highlighted with feature stories in this issue.
Don't miss out on what's happening!
Stay in touch with top news, as it happens, conveniently in your email inbox. It's FREE!
In our "Out ‘N’ About" calendar, you’ll find community events, such as the Waimanalo Country Fair, 11th Annual Te Manahua Maori Cultural Competition at the Polynesian Cultural Center, or the Pearl City Cultural Center Jazz Festival; general interest attractions and activities, such as the Sixth Annual Remodel It Right Expo or Surfrider and Barefoot Wines Beach Cleanup and Celebration; comedy (Steve Byrne at Pipeline); family attractions (free family films at Regal Dole Cannery Stadium Theatres), music-related events (the Celebration of Don Ho at Don Ho’s Island Grill, The Art of the Ukulele with Roy Sakuma at Kaimuki Public Library) ….
The list goes on, but you get the picture.
ONLINE, we’re also striving to bring you more.
