Police bust two men in bus stop robbery and assault
Two men were arrested following a robbery at a Waipahu bus stop early this morning.
Police said the victim, 17, was waiting for a bus at a Farrington Highway bus stop at about 3 a.m. when two males sitting nearby approached him. One demanded money and searched his pockets while the second held him.
They took a wallet and cell phone, assaulted the victim, and fled.
Two suspects, a Waianae man, 23, and a Waipahu man, 19, were captured after a brief chase. Police said charges of second-degree assault are pending.
