Alex Jupiter put down 22 kills to lead No. 10 USC to 23-25, 25-22, 25-17, 18-25, 15-7 over No. 4 Hawaii tonight in the championship match of the Hawaiian Airlines Volleyball Classic at the Stan Sheriff Center.
Katie Fuller added 17 kills and Lauren Williams 14 for the Women of Troy (6-0) who snapped a three-match losing streak against the Rainbow Wahine.
Kanani Danielson had 21 kills and 15 digs, and Brittany Hewitt 18 kills and 10 blocks for Hawaii (5-1).
Jupiter was named the Most Outstanding Player. Joining her was Danielson, Hewitt and Williams. Also named were USC’s Kendall Bateman, Michigan State’s Becca Zlabis and New Mexico’s Taylor Hadfield.
