Mililani man held on $100,000 bail for alleged threats against military police
A 27-year-old Mililani man appeared in District Court this morning to face charges that he allegedly threatened Army police officers with a gun Saturday.
Robert Nunes was being held on $100,000 bail after being charged over the weekend with six counts of first-degree terroristic threatening, firearms violations and detaining stolen property.
Police said that at about 6:44 a.m. Saturday, Nunes pulled up alongside a federal vehicle occupied by five Army police officers. He allegedly brandished a gun and pointed it at the military police officers.
The officers noted down the suspect’s license plates, and contacted Honolulu police. Police located Nunes at his Koolani Drive home and arrested him after a struggle.
