Kalihi teenager slashed with knife in robbery attempt
Police say a suspect slashed a Kalihi teenager with a knife yesterday evening during a robbery attempt.
The 17-year-old victim was walking home when the suspect — a 15- or 16-year-old boy — pulled out a knife and demanded money at about 6 p.m., police said.
The 17-year-old refused and was slashed with the knife in the face and back, police said. No information was released on how serious the injuries were.
The suspect fled on foot.
