Police are asking for the public’s help to find the attacker who sexually assaulted a woman last night at the Wahiawa Shopping Center.

The woman in her 20s was walking down the stairs at 823 California Ave. when an unknown man came up from behind, demanded money and then sexually assaulted her, police said.

The man, in his 20s, is described as 5 feet four inches tall, 175 pounds, with short black hair. He was wearing a gray polo shirt and long denim pants. 

Police said he is wanted for first-degree sexual assault.

Anyone with information is asked to call CrimeStoppers at 955-8300 or *CRIME from a cell phone. Anonymous text messages can be sent to 274637 or CRIMES from a cell phone along with "CS808" in the message.
