Man arrested after allegedly threatening two others with knives
A 44-year-old Honolulu man who was arguing with his girlfriend early yesterday morning allegedly tried to stab a man who tried to intervene and then allegedly kicked and threatened another man, police said.
The first victim, a 23-year-old man, heard the suspect arguing with his girlfriend around 5:15 a.m. yesterday and found him standing in the stairwell holding a long knife, police said.
The suspect allegedly tried to stab the 23-year-old man, who ran back into the bedroom and locked the door, police said. While threatening to kill the 23-year-old man, the suspect repeatedly stabbed the door with so much force that the blade protruded through the door, police said.
A 58-year-old man heard the commotion and confronted the suspect, who was then swinging two bats in the living room, police said.
The suspect allegedly kicked the 58-year-old man in the chest and threatened to stab him with a knife, police said. The suspect then grabbed a second knife from the kitchen.
