Honolulu police issued a reminder to motorists this morning that there is no high-occupancy-vehicle lane on Kalanianaole Highway today.
The HOV lane is closed because of the Election Day holiday.
“Even though it the lane is not coned, HPD has had several reports of vehicles driving the wrong way on the highway causing many near misses,” a police traffic alert said.
