The Hawaii Council for the Humanities awarded 13 grants totaling $50,000 for development and production of statewide public humanities projects. The recipients include: Biographical Research Center, Mai Poina, $10,000; University of Hawaii, Connecting Language and History, $7,500; All the World’s a Stage, $5,000; Surfing the Nations, $5,000; Kona Historical Society, $5,000; the Friends of Iolani Palace, $4,000.
