SIGNS OF HAWAIIAN LIFE IN THE UNIVERSE | Donna Halkinrude of Waikiki could not avoid reminders of Hawaii on her summer trip to the Greek and Canary islands with friend June Kalogeratos, who lives in Greece. Halkinrude saw two different signs for businesses evoking memories of home. The Waikiki Club taxi was spotted at a ferry dock on the Greek island of Kefalonia. She also found a "Waikiki" cafe in Santa Cruz de Tenerife, in the Canary Islands.
