62-year-old woman arrested in stabbing of housemate in Mililani
Police arrested a 62-year-old woman for allegedly stabbing her friend and housemate, a 50-year-old woman, multiple times this afternoon in Mililani.
Police said the two women, who are friends and live together, had been drinking when an argument occurred while both were riding in the back seat of a car on their way home from the store.
The older woman got upset and allegedly began stabbing the younger woman with a small folding pocketknife, police said.
Paramedics responded to a 3:06 p.m. call at Wailawa Street.
The victim was taken to a trauma center in serious condition with what appeared to be multiple stab wounds, said Bryan Cheplic, city Emergency Services Department spokesman.
Police arrested the suspect at their Mililani home at 3:15 p.m. on suspicion of second-degree attempted murder.
